NAFDAC Warns Against Fake COVID-19 test Kits

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has alerted Nigerians about the circulation of counterfeit Covid-19 Antigen rapid test kits.

A statement issued by the Agency, revealed that the counterfeit BTNX Incorporated COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits were communicated to NAFDAC by Health Canada.

The statement, warned those in possession of the counterfeit product to discontinue sale or use and submit stock to the nearest agency office.

It advised wholesalers, distributors, pharmacies and consumers to ensure that their products are obtained from authentic and reliable sources.
