NAFDAC Arrests Importer of Fake Cooking Margarine

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has arrested an importer of counterfeit Cooking Margarine.

Acting Director-General of the Agency, Monica Eimunjeze, revealed that the suspect imported 400 cartons of the counterfeit cooking margarine from Dubai and cleared it at Onne Port, Port Harcourt.

Eimunjeze also revealed that a distributor of the banned potassium bromate tablets was arrested, and 115 cartons of the tablets were found on him.

The Director General, therefore, warned Nigerians to be wary of the injurious products.
