Kwara State Government Increases Bursary Allowance for Students

Kwara State government has approved that the bursary allowances paid to students of the state origin in tertiary institutions across the country be increased by 100 per cent from N5, 000 to N10, 000.

This was contained in a statement signed by Press Secretary of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Mansura Amuda-Kannike.

The statement revealed that the process of accessing the bursary is strictly automated adding that the portal will be open for a week, from Friday, November 4 and closed on Friday, November 11.

It stressed that the rise in bursary allowance comes barely one week after the approved free transport services for students returning for their studies.
