EU Charges Nigerians to Obtain PVC

The European Union, EU, has charged Nigerians to get their Permanent Voter Cards.

In a statement issued by its Press Officer, Modestus Chukwulaka, EU pledged to support the mobilization of voters to fully participate in the forthcoming general elections.

The statement encouraged voters, particular the youth and women, to sustain their participation beyond the elections by holding Candidates accountable for their campaign promises.

Earthquake in Afghanistan Claim Lives

At least 920 people have been killed and more than 600 others injured after an earthquake hit remote parts of Southeastern Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan. This was disclosed by the Deputy Minister of Disaster management, Mawlawi Muslim, on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Interior Ministry official, Salahuddin Ayubi said that the death toll is likely to rise as some of the villages are in remote areas in the mountains.
