Earthquake in Afghanistan Claim Lives

At least 920 people have been killed and more than 600 others injured after an earthquake hit remote parts of Southeastern Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan.

This was disclosed by the Deputy Minister of Disaster management, Mawlawi Muslim, on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Interior Ministry official, Salahuddin Ayubi said that the death toll is likely to rise as some of the villages are in remote areas in the mountains.

Banks record N1.21tn non-performing loans

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has revealed that the total non-performing loans in the banking sector hit N1.21trillion as of the end of February 2022. According to CBN, the total credit in the sector rise to N25.25trillion as of the end of February 2022.
