Buhari Appoints New Executive Secretary for Nigeria Police Trust Fund

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Abdullahi Bala as the new Executive Secretary for the Nigeria Police Trust Fund.

Bala takes over from Ahmed Aliyu, who resigned his appointment to run for gubernatorial primary in his State.

Until his appointment, Bala worked as Permanent Secretary in Ministries, Departments and Agencies, including Ministries of Finance, Health and Education.

Tambuwal Reinstates Chief of Staff

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has reinstated his former Chief of Staff, Mukhtar Magori. According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Muhammad Bello, Tambuwal also nominated nine Commissioners to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation. Recall that the Chief of Staff and other members of the cabinet had on April 27 resigned their positions to seek Political offices in the State.
