Health Minister Advocates for Growth of Traditional Medicine

The Minister of State for Health, Adeleke Mamora has called for intensive efforts towards eliminating factors hindering the growth of traditional medicine practice.

Mamora disclosed at an event organized by the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development in Nigeria, NIPRD.

He revealed that the federal government has initiated moves to ensure appropriate labeling and documentation of traditional medicines.

The Minister maintained that traditional medicines should be encouraged as they are part and parcel of the African culture.
