Federal government announces optional use of face masks

The Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 has announced that the use of face masks in public places is now optional.

The Secretary of the Committee on COVID-19, Muktar Muhammed, disclosed this to newsmen in Abuja.

Muhammed noted that the decision on the final relaxation of Covid-19 measures will be taken after Easter.

The Secretary added that the committee would stop demanding proof of PCR tests from fully vaccinated travelers.
