Malawi has dropped criminal charges against the head of the anti-corruption agency, Martha Chizuma. The Director of Public Prosecutions, Masauko Chamkakala, said the cases were discontinued following a review and consultation with the attorney general. Earthquake in Indonesia Claim Lives

At least four people have been killed and buildings damaged by an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 which struck the north coast of Papua, Indonesia. According to Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the earthquake hit southwest of Jayapura city at a depth of 10km. Residents in Jayapura said people scrambled for safety, running from houses and shops when the earthquake struck. The meteorological agency warned of potential aftershocks.
