Africa’s top-ranked table tennis star, Aruna Quadri, moved up one spot from 14th to 13th in the latest International Table Tennis Federation World Rankings. This comes after Quadri’s quarter-final finish at the just-concluded WTT Singapore Smash, where he became the first African to reach the quarter-finals. His performance in Singapore saw him earn 350 ranking points for a total of 2005 for the month of March.

Former Real Madrid and Arsenal player, Mesut Ozil has announced his retirement from football. Ozil spent eight years at the Emirates Stadium after a £42.5million switch to North London from Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2013.
