Tupac Shakur is to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 26 years after the rapper's death. The hip-hop star will be honoured with a ceremony on the prestigious Los Angeles walkway on 7 June. A Los Angeles judge has denied Tory Lanez’s motion for a new trial after he was found guilty of shooting Megan in the foot. Lanez begged Judge David Herriford not to ruin his life by denying the motion. The rapper was originally scheduled to be sentenced on 28 February, however, it was pushed back so that his attorneys could file for a new trial.

Cameroonian-American singer, Labianca has recorded her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Libianca has recorded her first on the Billboard Hot 100 entry as 'People' debuts on NO. 91. This makes it only the second Afrobeats song on the chart alongside pacesetter Rema's 'Calm Down' which has reached a new African record NO. 5 position.

Nigerian singer Rema has achieved a feat as he enters the top 5 of Billboard Hot 100. In the latest issue of Billboard Hot 100, Rema's 'Calm Down' moves up one spot to NO. 5 as it extends his record as the highest charting African song in the history of the famous chart. His single, ‘Calm down’ has become the biggest international Afrobeats song in history.

Ed Sheeran has said he would quit music if he is found guilty of ripping off Marvin Gaye's soul classic 'Let's Get it On'. Sheeran denied the claims he infringed upon Gaye and his co-writer Ed Townsend's 1973 hit when he wrote and composed 'Thinking Out Loud'. The singer-songwriter is being sued by Townsend's heirs, who claim there are striking similarities between the tracks.
