Afrobeats star Adekunle Gold has announced the date for his 2022 Lagos concert. Gold announced December 18th, 2022 as the date for his Lagos concert. The Singer has recorded a successful tour of the US and Canada, as well as, the UK where he sold out the 5,000 capacity 02 Brixton Arena.

Adidas has cut ties with rapper Kanye West saying it does tolerate any form of hate speech. According to the clothing giant, his products will be pulled from sale with immediate effect. Adidas's collaboration with West was put under review, after he showed a White Lives Matter T-shirt design at Paris Fashion Week.

Bulgaria has withdrawn from next year's Eurovision Song Contest. They become the latest country to pull out from the contest. The EBU which organizes the contest has now confirmed the list of 37 participants for the 2023 competition. Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro all failed to make it past the semi-final stage of this year's song contest.

Daniel, who announced this on his official Twitter account, revealed that his prayers to perform at the world cup has been answered The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to hold in Qatar from Sunday, 20 November to 18 December 2022.  

MTV has revealed the nomination list for the 2022 MTV European Music Awards. Nigerian trio Burna Boy, Tems, and Ayra Starr were nominated for the Best African Act. The Trio will face face competition from Ghanaian fast-rising Hip Hop star Black Sherif, South African artist Musa Keys, and Tanzanian singer Zuchu. The event is set to take place in Düsseldorf Germany on November 13, 2022.
