South African Afro-pop singer, Bulelwa Mkutukana, popularly known as Zahara is dead. The award-winning singer, who was hospitalized, died on Monday night after reported liver complications. She had been in a Johannesburg hospital, with liver complications. Zahara, who had so far released five albums, was named BBC’s 100 Women list in 2020.

South African singer Tyla Laura Seethal, popularly known as Tyla, has revealed that she had it difficult convincing her parents to allow her do music. Tyla said her parents were against her decision to become a musician because they do not consider music a job. She said her parents eventually gave in after she cried for days.

Nigerian singer, Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has been cleared of rape and N-power fraud allegations by the Nigeria Police Force and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.
