Imo government launches mechanism to end illegal refinery

Imo state government has activated mechanisms to end illegal refining in oil-bearing communities in the state. The state Commissioner for Petroleum Resources, Goodluck Opiah, stressed that illegal oil business was affecting the economy of the state. Opiah added that the state government has ordered a clampdown on all illegal refineries in the state.

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has charged members of the Southern Governors’ Wives’ Forum, SGWF, to support efforts to end all forms of Gender-Based Violence. Edo Government Hands Over State College of Education to Federal Government

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has handed over a defunct State College of Education, Ekiadolor, to the Federal Government. Obaseki who handed the Institution to the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, reassured his administration’s sustained investment in technical and vocational education in the state. The Governor urged the Federal government to rename the citadel of learning after a former Commissioner for Education in old Bendel State, Tayo Akpata.
