A mother and her child have been confirmed dead after a three-storey building collapsed in the Ebute Metta Area of Lagos State. According to the Permanent Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu who confirmed the incident said the building collapsed on Sunday. Oke-Osayintolu disclosed that those rescued included seven children and 16 adults, while nine rescued alive have been treated and discharged.

National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has dispelled reports on social media that some Corps members died in a fire incident involving a bus in Delta State. A statement signed by the State NYSC Coordinator, Alao Olusegun, disclosed that the fire incident did not lead to any casualty.
