A Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Capital has restrained Governor David Umahi from appointing new Caretaker Committees in the 13 Local Government Areas of the State. In his ruling, the presiding Judge, Fatun Riman, held that the tenure of Local Government Area Chairmen is three years, adding that the tenure of the current Chairmen will expire in August, 2023.

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has urged people of the State to support the efforts of his administration in rebuilding the State. Ikpeazu made the appeal at an event to mark the 31st Anniversary of the creation of the State. He maintained that rebuilding the State involves all Stakeholders and citizens irrespective of Political Party. The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment towards rebuilding the State for economic and infrastructural greatness.

Reactions have trailed on the bar on States by the Federal government from intervening on Federal Roads. In an interview with Boss Radio Correspondent, A Civil Servant, Anthony John, says it is a wrong approach by the Federal government. Also speaking, A Business Man, Emeka Nelly, urges the Federal government to allocate Revenue to States for federal road reconstruction.

Residents of Umuakali Community in Naze area of Imo State have decried the poor state of Old Aba Road. Speaking with Boss Radio Rural Assessment, a Shop owner, Tochukwu Ndeli, who spoke in vernacular says the bad state of the road affects their business. Also speaking, a Business Woman, Adaeze Oguejiofor appeals to the government to intervene on the road.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has advised Youths in the Country to take charge of the future and participate in activities that will build the Nation. Sanwo-Olu gave the advice at a Church event held in Marina area of the State. The Governor tasked the Youths to take up Leadership roles geared towards nation-building.

Ogun State government has said it inherited N202billion compensation debt on properties demolished by the administration of a former Governor of the State, Ibikunle  Amosun, on  the expansion of some roads across the State. Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has debunked reports of the discovery of deposit of gold in part of the State. A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, described the reports as fake. The statement urged the public to disregard such information.

Akwa Ibom State Government has described reports on the prevalence of out-of-school children in the state as misleading and politically motivated. Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has advised traditional rulers in the state to shun partisan politics. Diri, gave the advice during a meeting with the state’s Traditional Rulers Council in Yenagoa, the state capital.
