Court Restrains Umahi from Appointing Caretaker Chairmen

A Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Capital has restrained Governor David Umahi from appointing new Caretaker Committees in the 13 Local Government Areas of the State.

In his ruling, the presiding Judge, Fatun Riman, held that the tenure of Local Government Area Chairmen is three years, adding that the tenure of the current Chairmen will expire in August, 2023.

Ikpeazu Restates Commitment Towards Rebuilding Abia

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has urged people of the State to support the efforts of his administration in rebuilding the State. Ikpeazu made the appeal at an event to mark the 31st Anniversary of the creation of the State.
