UK singer Tom Grennan is recovering from an unprovoked attack which left him with injuries. Grennan is said to have been attacked and robbed outside a bar in Manhattan after performing in New York on Wednesday. He has been forced to postpone his gig in Washington DC as a result of the attack.

Johnny Depp has described his ex-wife, Amber Heard as an unstable spouse who abused him. Depp sued Heard over an article she wrote saying she was a victim of domestic violence. In his testimony, he said he felt pure hatred from her. His testimony is set to resume into a third day on Thursday.
American rapper, ASAP Rocky, has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department in connection with a shooting that occurred in November 2021. The Department announced that the rapper whose legal name is Rakim Meyers, was arrested for assault with a firearm. The rapper was returning from Barbados with his pregnant girlfriend, Rihanna when the arrest was made.

Popular Nollywood Actor, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, has been appointed as Special Adviser on Entertainment, Leisure and Tourism to the Governor of Anambra state. This was announced in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Paul Nwosu. Bob-Manuel had previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Creative Media during the administration of Peter Obi, and as an Aide to the immediate past governor, Willie Obiano.
Acclaimed composer Harrison Birtwistle has died at the age of 87. Birtwistle is best known for 1972 orchestral work ‘The Triumph of Time’, as well as operas The Mask of Orpheus, Gawain and The Minotaur. He died at his home in Mere, Wiltshire on 18 April.
