Singer Harrysong has been arrested by men of the Lagos state police command over his running battle with music executive, Sososoberekon. Soso petitioned the Inspector General of Police on grounds of defamation and threat to life by Harrysong. Recall that the singer had in a recent interview alleged that Sososoberekon, who he described as his enemy, sent some people to kill him in Port Harcourt.
Afrobeats star, Asake unceremoniously ended his Baltimore performance after he was advised to do so by his security team. In a performance at a sold-out show in Baltimore, Asake was prompted to take an early shower after one of the security personnel reported that his firearm had been stolen. An executive producer and writer of hit US comedy series ‘Scrubs', Eric Weinberg, has been charged with 18 counts of sexual assault. The Los Angeles County District Attorney, revealed that Weinberg relied on his Hollywood credentials to lure young women for photo shoots where he allegedly assaulted them. The alleged incidents, dated between 2014 and 2019, involved five women.

Oscar-winning actor, Kevin Spacey is due to go on trial in a civil lawsuit over an allegation of sexual assault 36 years ago. Spacey is being sued in New York by Anthony Rapp, who says the actor inappropriately touched him at a party in 1986 when he was 14. Nigeria's standard music data provider, Turntable Charts, announced Burna Boy as the most streamed artist. This comes just days after Apple Music revealed the all-time metric for Nigerian artists' performance on their platform.
Rebekah Vardy is expected to pay an estimated £1.5m towards Coleen Rooney’s legal costs after losing a defamation case. According to a court document an initial payment of £800,000 must be made by 15 November. Earlier this year, a High Court judge ruled in Rooney’s favour following the so-called Wagatha Christie trial.
The thriller Emancipation, starring the winner of last year’s Oscar best actor, Will Smith, will be released later this year. Reports say it will be open in cinemas on 2 December and will be available to stream from a week later, making it eligible for next year's Oscars. Smith resigned from the Academy and has since apologized to comedian Chris Rock, who had made a joke about his wife.
