Reports say cashless transactions fell to N37.67tn in February 2023. The Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System revealed that this was a 4.83 per cent fall from the N39.58tn that was recorded in January. The data noted that e-payment gateways were used 901.46 million times, a 41.29 per cent increase from the 638 million times they were used in January.

According to the International Air Transport Association, at in January 2023, African airlines’ passenger traffic rose by 124 per cent. The Association revealed that January capacity was up 82.5 per cent and load factor climbed 13.9 percentage points to 73.7 per cent, the lowest among regions.

Reports say properties worth N3.19tn have been lost to various fire incidents nationwide between 2015 and 2022. Minister of Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, revealed this at the 64th session of the State House Ministerial briefing held in Abuja.
