Buhari States; Proposed 40 MVA Substation in Akwa Ibom Would Strengthen National Grid

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the proposed 40 MVA substation in Akwa Ibom State would strengthen the national grid by increasing its wheeling capacity to 25, 000MW by the year 2025.

Buhari stated this while performing the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the substation estimated to cost over N6.8 billion.

He added that the project would improve service delivery and increase capacity to supply power to the people of the state and other neighboring states.
