Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has inaugurated the State-Local Government Joint Accounts Committee. A statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime, revealed that the state government would set up the local government administration that would address the challenges in that layer of government. The statement thanked members of the Committee for accepting the appointment, noting that their job was not going to be an easy one.

Cross Rivers State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has impounded 16,000 liters of stolen petroleum products in the state. State Commandant of the Corps, Samuel Fadeyi, made this known while inspecting the seized petroleum products, in Calabar, the state capital.
