Buhari Appoints New Director of NSPMC

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Ahmed Halilu as the Managing Director of Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, NSPMC, Plc. According to reports, Buhari approved the appointment following the recommendation of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. Until his appointment, Haliru had headed the Company in acting capacity following the resignation of Abbas Masanawa on May 16, 2022.

Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku has warned the newly sworn-in caretaker Committee Chairmen to desist from acts capable of frustrating their performance. Ishaku gave the warning during the swearing-in ceremony of the 16 Local Councils Caretaker Committee Chairmen held on Thursday at the Government House, Jalingo, the State Capital. The Governor vowed to deal decisively with any of the Chairmen who would abuse his position for personal gain.
