Amaechi promises safe return of kidnapped Kaduna-Abuja train passengers

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has assured families whose relations were captured by terrorists in the Kaduna-Abuja train attack that the federal government will do everything to rescue them. Court finds Kidd Creole guilty of manslaughter

A founding member of the US rap group, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Kidd Creole has been found guilty of manslaughter. Prosecutors accused Creole, whose real name is Nathaniel Glover, of stabbing Jolly, after becoming enraged because he thought he was hitting on him. A Manhattan jury found him guilty and he is scheduled to be sentenced next month.

Court dismisses Kyari’s enforcement rights suit

A Federal High Court in Abuja, has dismissed a rights suit filed by suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, against the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA. Delivering judgement, the presiding judge, Inyang Ekwo dismissed the suit after counsel for the NDLEA, prayed the court to struck out the matter. Justice Ekwo said he was informed that Counsel to Kyari sent a letter, praying the court for an adjournment.

Malami clears air on his alleged resignation

The Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami has debunked rumors of his resignation from President Muhammadu Buhari's government. Malami made the clarification in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Umar Gwandu.
