Zamfara State Government has dethroned two traditional rulers over their alleged involvement in banditry. The state Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Dosara, revealed that the monarchs were found guilty of all the allegations leveled against them. A court in military-ruled Myanmar has sentenced Aung Kyi to five years in jail. According to reports, the court found the civilian leader guilty in the 11 corruption cases against her and announced her sentence on Wednesday. The report noted that kyi had denied the charges and called the allegations absurd.

Adamawa State House of Assembly has removed a member, Ayuba Kwada who defected from the governing Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the main opposition, All Progressives Congress, APC The Assembly effected the removal of Ayuba at its sitting on Wednesday declaring his seat vacant by relying on Section 109(1g) of the Constitution.
