UN Promises to Support Process to Free and Fair Election

The United Nations has promised to support any process that would lead to credible, all-inclusive, free and fair general elections.

UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed, who stated this at the Nigerian Bar Association state of the national dialogue, advised Nigerians to get it right with the 2023 general elections.

Mohammed expressed optimism that things will be turned around to a more inclusive, equal and just society.

Federal Government Activates Emergency Lassa Fever Centres

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has activated the national multi-sectoral Emergency Operations Centre for Lassa fever. A statement signed by the Director General of NCDC, Ifedayo Adetifa, revealed that the purpose of the activation is to reduce the impact of the disease by reducing suffering and death, and other socioeconomic complications.
