TUC Urges Federal Government to Meet ASUU’s Demand

The Trade Union Congress, TUC, has called on the Federal Government to end the lingering strike by borrowing to meet the demand of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

TUC President, Festus Osifo, who made the call at a media parley, urged the federal government to use part of the money earmarked for infrastructure to fund education.

The President maintained that the easiest way for Nigeria to move out of its present economic logjam is to fund education, warning that failure to do that would be devastating.
