The Federal Ministry of Health has reacted to the two-week ultimatum issued to it by the National Association of Resident Doctors to meet its demands or risk an industrial action.

Speaking at a press conference, Deborah Bitrus-Oghoghorie of the Ministry, Department of Hospital Services, said the issues by the Doctors were financial issues which the Ministry cannot solve on its own.

According to Bitru-Oghoghorie, the Ministry is resolving the issue with the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning and the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission.

She assured the Doctors that the Ministry was doing its best to ensure that the industrial action was averted.
