NCDC Reveals That 723 Cases of Lassa Fever are Being Managed

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has revealed that at least 723 cases of Lassa fever have been managed at the case management centre.

The NCDC revealed this in its Lassa fever situation report.

NCDC noted that since the last outbreak of the disease in 2016, there had been an increase in the number of recurring cases.

In 2019, the centre stated that 796 cases were reported, while in 2020, 1,165 cases were confirmed during the height of the pandemic.
