Nollywood actor Mofe Duncan has opened up about the body shaming he faced from some producers in the early stages of his career due to his weight.
Duncan shared these experiences through an Instagram post on his page while calling out a troll who claimed he couldn’t be considered handsome because of his size.
The actor revealed that he suffered a severe back injury while trying to lose weight at the gym to fit into people’s expectations.
Duncan said the body shaming he endured in the industry deeply affected him back then, with some producers even blacklisting him over his appearance.
However, while Duncan stated that the body shaming no longer bothers him personally, he decided to speak up about his experiences for the sake of others facing similar discrimination.
