In Abia State, the Governor, Alex Otti is set to kick off the reconstruction of the 3.5km Osisioma-Ekeakpara Road, a crucial route to the Osisioma Industrial complex and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation depot.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Kanu, stated this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of this week’s executive council meeting presided over by the Governor of Abia State, adding that the governor will in addition, oversee the reconstruction of the 2.5km Umuode-Bakassi Road in Aba, a move expected to catalyze economic growth in the state.
Also, responding to questions on protest by tricycle (Keke) operators in Umuahia, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, stated that there is no increase in the tickets nor loading fee for the operators.
Ekeoma, clarified that there have been no changes in ticket prices or loading fees, and emphasized the importance of dialogue between the government and stakeholders to address grievances effectively.
