The United Nations has raised concern over the killing of women and children in Kaduna State.

A statement signed by its Resident Coordinator for Nigeria, Matthias Schmale, condemned these attacks, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of people, including children.

The statement expressed concern that people are still being killed and injured in attacks, stressing that citizens must be protected and be able to live in peace.

It called for a lasting solution to end the continuous killings in some parts of the country.
Last week, several innocent women and children were killed in Zangon Kataf, a local government area of Kaduna State.
