Bauchi State Police Command has declared a member of the House of Representatives representing Bauchi federal constituency, Yakubu Shehu wanted for alleged murder.
According to as Special Police Gazette issued by Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, a bounty of N1 million was placed on the lawmaker.
The bulletin noted that the Nigeria Police Force is searching for Shehu.
The politician is wanted in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, causing grievous hurt, inciting disturbances of public peace and culpable homicide.
The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero, has cleared the air over the ongoing strike action in Imo State. Ajaero made the clarification in a phone interview with Boss Radio News. He berated the state government for ill treatment of workers and pensioners. The President urged the state government not to interfere in the union’s affair.
