Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has appealed to Nigerians to show true sportsmanship as they exercise their civic rights.
Jonathan made the appeal in a message signed by his Special Adviser, Ikechukwu Eze.
The message urged politicians to avoid violence, be cautious in their work and actions towards consolidating the country’s democracy.
It, therefore, implored the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, critical stakeholders, security agencies, to be professional in carrying out their duties during the general election.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has deployed its personnel to the 36 states ahead of the Presidential and National Assembly elections. EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, stated that the deployment is part of efforts to ensure the integrity of the February 25, pools.
