Mustapha Inaugurates Transition Council

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha has inaugurated a 22-member Transition Council.
According to Mustapha, the council is charged with the responsibility of handing over power to the president-elect, coordinating security for him, and facilitating briefings between government agencies and the president-elect.

The Secretary urged the members to ensure that the next administration enjoys the finest support to make it succeed.

Recall that President Muhammadu had last week signed Executive Order Number 14 which provides the legal framework for the management of the transition process and the handing over of power to the president-elect.
