NFF Announces Kick off for the 2023 Federation Cup

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced that the 2023 edition of the Federation Cup will kick-off in May.

According a communiqué released at the end of its board meeting on Monday, the competition will start a week before the end of the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The communiqué noted that the winner of the competition, as well as the third-placed team in the NPFL will represent Nigeria in the 2024 edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Recall that the 2022 edition of the Federation Cup was inconclusive and no winner was announced by the NFF.
