Enugu Police Assure Residents of Violence Free Election

Enugu Stat Commissioner of Police Ahmed Ammani, has assured residents of peace, security, and safety before, during, and after the general elections.

Ammani gave the assurance in a statement issued by the police spokesperson, Daniel Ndukwe, on Tuesday.

The statement charged security operatives to remain firm, resolute, and wade off any criminal incursions into the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The Federal Government has denied abandoning the Edo State Government over the outbreak of Lassa fever. Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, who disclosed this at the ministerial press briefing, said the Federal Government supports all the states battling disease outbreaks.
