The Joint Admissions Administration Board in conjunction with the Central Bank of Nigeria has said that e-naira is the preferred payment mode chosen for 2023 UTME registration.
CBN Director, IT, Architecture and Strategy, Rakiya Mohammed, explained that the adoption of the e-naira would eliminate extortion of candidates.
Mohammed added that it would also promote the digitisation of cash and facilitate the development of e-commerce, and enable a reliable mechanism for issuance of bulk JAMB e-PINs.
The Director stated that the e naira would function as a safe and efficient alternative means of payment which is seamless and fortified against any form of abuse.
Cross River State  Governor Ben Ayade has reshuffled his cabinet and sworn in 13 commissioners. Speaking at the swearing-in Ayade urged the new commissioners to work assiduously to ensure that his administration finished strong. Their appointment comes barely five months to the end of his administration.
