Nigerians Get Permission to Return with Expired Passport

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, has announced that Nigerians returning to the country can be admitted with their expired Nigerian passport.

A memo signed by the Special Assistant to the Comptroller General, Foreign Desk, B Lawal, directed airlines to allow holders with expired passport to board without any hindrance.

The memo noted that all Nigerian Diplomatic Missions abroad are kindly requested to circulate the information to airlines operators and border authorities of host countries for their necessary action.
