NCC Warns Against Information Stealing Malware

The Computer Security Incident Response Team of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has warned Nigerians against viral Tiktok challenge that exposes device to Information-Stealing Malware.

The Team gave the warning in a statement signed by the Commission’s Director of Public Affairs, Reuben Muoka.

The statement noted that the threat actors had taken advantage of a viral TikTok challenge, known as the Invisible Challenge, to disseminate an information-stealing malware.

The CSIRT is the telecom sector’s cyber security incidence centre set up by the NCC to focus on incidents in the telecom sector.
