The World Athletics has named American hurdler Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone the Female World Athlete of the Year.
McLaughlin-Levrone beat Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan and three others for the prestigious honor.
Amusan, Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Peru’s Kimberly Garcia, and Venezuela’s Yulimar Rojas were the other finalists.
American actress Amber Heard is seeking a new defamation trial against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. Heard filed the appeal earlier this month, contending that the last trial was unjust. In June 2022, Depp won a $10.35 million judgment after contending that his ex-wife claimed to have been subjected to domestic abuse.
