UK Urges INEC and Political Parties to Ensure Credible Polls

The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has called on political parties and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to ensure that the 2023 general elections are peaceful and credible.

Liang made this known at a meeting with the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abuja.

She noted that the United Kingdom will not hesitate to impose sanctions on any individual or group that commits electoral violence.
