The Pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has called on the South-West governors to turn Operation Amotekun into a strong security outfit to protect the region from the incessant attacks by the kidnappers.

A statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Jare Ajayi, stated that the frequency and ferocity of kidnapping in the area were engendering.

The statement urged the governors to collectively approach President Muhammadu Buhari,  along with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to let them save their people from being enslaved by bandits.
