INEC to Prosecute Staff Members Over Illegal Registration

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has revealed that the commission will prosecute 23 staff members of the commission caught registering voters illegally in Kwara State.

The State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Attahiru Madami, disclosed this at the INEC Stakeholders Forum in Ilorin, the state capital.

Madami noted that the forum became necessary as a first step to ensuring hitch-free elections in 2023.
The Commissioner added that the state had 43,008 invalid registration figures, one of the lowest in the country.
