The Peoples Democratic Party has appealed to striking members of the Joint Drivers Welfare Association of Nigeria to consider commuters’ plights and suspend their strike.

Lagos State PDP Publicity Secretary, Hakeem Amode, in a statement on Tuesday, urged the aggrieved transport workers to dialogue with the All Progressive Congress-led government to end the suffering of commuters.

According to the statement, the withdrawal of operations by commercial drivers in Lagos State has left many commuters stranded across the state.

Recall that the drivers on Monday commenced a seven-day strike over alleged extortion and harassment from the motor park management and thugs in the State.
