The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya umar Farouq has confirmed the distribution of relief items to 21 states affected by the floods.
Farouq made the confirmation at a Briefing on the flood situation across the country in Abuja.
According to her, distribution of food and non-food items to states has been made available, adding that the Search and Rescue Operations have been on their toes since the flooding started.
The minister called on other stakeholders to join in the efforts to assist affected flood victims.
Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture have charged Nigerians to patronise made-in-Nigeria products. The National Chairperson of NACCIMA business women group, Aisha Abubakar, disclosed while speaking to newsmen in Lagos. Abubakar maintained that women should be encouraged to play a greater role in the entire agricultural value chain.
