Akwa Ibom Governor Harps on Need to Build Sustainable Food Development

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel has harped on the need to build sustainable food development to enable citizens have regular access to food.

Emmanuel noted that the State government has introduced unique Akwa Ibom initiatives in food processing, mechanization and greater hygiene.

He stated that adopting a green house technology would help in mobilizing and raising a new generation of farmers as people would register strong participation in the cultivation of shrubs.

The governor added that commemorative action will achieve the objectives of leveraging on the production and consumption of safe foods, and also ensure that food is accessible to all.
