The Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, has decried the rate of manpower shortages in tertiary health institutions.

The Association made this known in a communique issued at its Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference held in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

The communique urged the Federal Government and the Governors Forum to prevail on the governors of Ekiti, Imo and Ondo states to urgently pay arrears of salaries owed her members.

It, however, promised to make meaningful contributions toward preventing the brain drain in the health sector as a key stakeholder in the sector.
