NITDA to Commence Regulation of Information Technology

The National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, has commenced regulation of Information Technology sector in order to protect citizens.

Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Kashifu Inuwa, disclosed this while speaking during an IT workshop on artificial intelligence in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

Inuwa stated that the agency has introduced some enforcement measures to regulate the IT sector.

The CEO maintained that the agency was doing this so as to protect the citizens and ensure a fair market.

NUC Withdraws Circular that Ordered Universities to Re-open

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has withdrawn its circular which ordered vice-chancellors, pro-chancellors and governing councils to re-open federal universities. According to the Executive Secretary of NUC, the circular stands withdrawn, urging all pro-chancellors and chairmen of governing councils, as well as vice-chancellors of federal universities to take note. It added that further development and information would be communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
