CAN Appeals to FG and ASUU to End Strike

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has appealed to the Federal Government and the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to end the seven-month strike.

CAN President, Daniel Okoh, made the appeal during the interdenominational church service to mark the 62nd Independence Day at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja.

Okoh implored the Federal Government to do all that is necessary, to ensure that students will go back to the universities and engage with their studies.

Speaking on the forth coming election, the President urged Nigerians to give the Independent National Electoral Commission all the support to enable it to succeed in its assignment.
